When the idea of SENSORY-MINDS was born, our Managing Directors were already belly deep in the creative industry. Heiko and Jonas were studying, sharing a rental studio, where they also met the first time. Wolfgang was Managing Director at SYZYGY and Sascha was still an apprentice there.

This was the time when Heiko came across this video of Jeff Han showing a multi touch user interface in a TED talk.

Not only blew this Heiko's mind, he wanted to build one himself. From a prototype with duct tape and a webcam it became his final project for his degree.

With Jonas (the next MD on the list 😄 ) he build a working multi touch table. This came to the attention of Wolfgang (and here is MD number 3). Being Managing Director of Syzygy at the time, and Heiko and Jonas freelancing there, he came across the project and was also blown away.

Together the idea to open up their own company (Wolfgang was already experienced in this) was born.

From 2006 to 2009 they brought the idea to life and SENSORY-MINDS was founded.

With all Sensory-Management coming from "Web" it was only natural that, besides the first years of groundbreaking multi touch, the core business is now web applications.
