How did you come to SENSORY-MINDS?

I was previously working in the finance team of a web company when Sensory Minds contacted me in May 2020 looking for a Project Manager. I've been thinking to get back into Project Management so I gladly accepted the invitation for the interview and after two more conversations, I was smitten with the vision and culture that Sensory Minds has to offer. However, being pushed into lockdown because of covid-19 turned my brain upside down for a while so I wasn't quite ready to leave my old team when Sensory and I first got in touch. Luckily, we have stayed in contact and after a year and a bit I have finally made my way to Offenbach.

What exactly do you do at Sensory and why is this your passion?

I'm a Project Manager and I love that every day is different; in regards to people, project scope or tasks I take on within a project. I enjoy working in a team of people from different disciplines, it has given me perspective to understand how applications, tools or websites that I frequently use are actually built. This job is the best way to train your communication skills because those are key to understand the needs of your stakeholders and enable you to eventually deliver desired change. Helping businesses to meet their goals by improving the way they work is satisfying and as the digital landscape constantly changes, learning never ends. Project Management can be stressful but it keeps me on my toes and I find that very exciting.

What does digital transformation mean to you?

I understand digital transformation as the continuing move of our reality into the digital / online space. As technology is ever evolving I see it as a constant rethinking and reimagining of business processes, customer experiences and how we perceive media in our everyday lives. While I would never want to miss personal interaction in the real world, I see the perks of organizing an entire day online (especially in times of a pandemic).

Also, I don't take notes on paper anymore.

Describe the people at Sensory as briefly as possible!

Creative, chill, friendly, respectful and an absolute joy to be around!

Tell us something about you! What do you do in your private life? Any crazy hobbies?

I get up early on weekends to take shelter dogs for walks. Most of them have to wear big massive muzzles and therefore look mighty scary but almost no dog has ever really tried to bite me so far. They are usually much nicer than their reputation suggests. Nevertheless, I've heard people call that a pretty crazy hobby.
